Chinese and Ukrainian Communities Rally for Ukraine’s Independence in Amsterdam

  On August 24, 2025, marking the 34th anniversary of Ukraine’s independence, the Ukrainian community in the Netherlands, alongside Chinese dissidents and anti-CCP activists, held a rally at Amsterdam Dam Square under the theme Stand with Ukraine – Solidarity for Ukraine Independence Day. The event called on the international community to recognize the threat posed by the Russia-China axis to global freedom and to express heartfelt support for the Ukrainian people. The rally was organized by Jamal Statsenko and the local Ukrainian community. The Chinese group Voice of Anti-Communism Netherlands applied separately to the city government for the support demonstration. The event drew many Ukrainian immigrants, Dutch citizens, and international supporters who joined for photos and interaction. Amsterdam Rally Echoes Global Calls for Justice: Commemorating the 8th Anniversary of Gao Zhisheng's Disappearance

  Amsterdam, Netherlands – August 11, 2025 – In a poignant display of solidarity, around 15 supporters gathered at Amsterdam Central Station's main entrance on August 10, 2025, to voice their demands for the whereabouts of Gao Zhisheng, one of China's most prominent human rights lawyers, who has been forcibly disappeared for eight years. Organized by the Dutch Anti-Communist Voice and co-hosted by the Overseas Committee of the China Democracy Party, with volunteer Jiang Peikun spearheading the planning, the rally titled "Speaking Out for Justice: Supporting the Lawyer Gao Zhisheng, Missing for 8 Years" highlighted ongoing concerns over human rights abuses in China. Hong Kong Exile Jeffrey Leung Files ICC Petition, Seeking Investigation into UK-National Officials for Human Rights Abuses in Hong Kong

  Amsterdam , August 2, 2025   — Jeffrey Leung, a young Hong Kong exile known by his pseudonym Fragile Bard, has launched a bold petition urging the International Criminal Court (ICC) to investigate Hong Kong officials who hold British or British National (Overseas) (BN(O)) citizenship for alleged crimes against humanity. The petition, filed under Article 15(1) of the Rome Statute, accuses these officials of participating in systematic human rights abuses through their enforcement of the controversial Hong Kong National Security Law (NSL).   Combining a detailed legal submission to the ICC, a personal history of persecution, and an exclusive interview, Leung's action seeks to hold accountable those who enjoy the freedoms of a democratic society abroad while assisting authoritarian oppression in Hong Kong.   Background and Motivation Leung’s activism is rooted in a profound personal experience.
