On May 30, 2026, the "[Never Forget June 4th] 37th Anniversary Commemoration of the Tiananmen Square Massacre," hosted by the Chinese Democratic Party Netherlands Headquarters, was solemnly held in front of The Hague City Hall. Under the theme "Time cannot erase the bloodstains on the long street, candlelight illuminates the unfulfilled dawn," the event gathered 8 overseas pro-democracy activists, human rights representatives, and members of faith groups from diverse backgrounds. Standing on free soil, they demonstrated their firm resolve in jointly mourning the martyrs who sacrificed their lives during the brutal crackdown by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) authorities in 1989.

Revealing Truth on the Streets: Undeterred by "Little Pink" Harassment, Raising Local Awareness
That afternoon, dressed in dark clothing, the participants rolled out banners and posters in front of The Hague City Hall. A wealth of precious historical images and English explanations were displayed, including the world-shocking "Tiananmen Tank Man," a quick-fact guide to the June 4th incident in English, a timeline of communist humanitarian disasters over the past century, and black-and-white documentary photos of the Tiananmen Square massacre.
These detailed historical materials attracted many local Dutch residents who stopped to observe and take photos. The representatives also actively distributed English flyers to passersby, recounting the historical truths strictly censored and blocked within China.
During the rally, a pro-CCP "Little Pink" caused a disturbance, loudly insulting the attendees and slandering the participants as "beggars" and "traitors." Faced with this unreasonable provocation, the pro-democracy activists maintained maximum restraint, continuing to express their demands peacefully through rotating speeches and chanting slogans, demonstrating their resilience in defending democracy and freedom.

Diverse Voices Speak Out: From Historical Reflection to Real-world Accusation
Although the rally involved 8 core representatives, the topics covered were profound and wide-ranging. The representatives not only reviewed the history of June 4th but also extended their focus to the various human rights disasters since the CCP took power.
In his speech, event coordinator Yu Yang detailed everything from the "Great Leap Forward," the Cultural Revolution, and the brutal one-child policy, to the recent human rights crisis in the Uyghur region. He emphasized: "Looking back at history is not to create hatred, but to guard the truth and the dignity of life." Chinese dissident Dang Zhao also appealed that a society's progress lies not only in its economy but in its respect for history and tolerance of differing opinions.
Huang Bo from Jinland (Shanxi) and Wei Zhijian, a supporter of the Guangxi independence movement, strongly condemned the CCP's totalitarian rule and the oppression of forced unification. They led the crowd in chanting slogans, calling for an end to the one-party dictatorship and the establishment of a true federal constitutional government, allowing people of all ethnic groups to regain their freedom and dignity.

Furthermore, Wang Quntao and Sun Xin'ai, a Christian couple from the Church of Almighty God, tearfully denounced the CCP's systematic and cruel persecution of religious beliefs. They pointed out that countless believers have been arrested, tortured, and even subjected to forced organ harvesting simply for gathering, urging the international community to immediately pay attention to and stop the CCP's religious persecution.
Memories Never Fade, Passing the Candlelight: Reuniting in Amsterdam on June 6
"Thirty-seven years have passed, and the spark of freedom has never been extinguished." The rally in The Hague concluded with a solemn mourning and a group photo. However, the footsteps of commemoration do not stop here.
To allow more people to participate and see the truth, the Voice of Anti-CCP NL, the Tibet Support Group NL, and the Chinese Democratic Party Netherlands Headquarters will move to Amsterdam next Saturday (June 6) to hold a larger joint memorial rally. The organizers sincerely invite all friends who defend democracy and freedom to gather at Dam Square, using memory to resist forgetting, speaking for those who cannot speak, and ensuring history is never erased.
