  Amsterdam, Netherlands – November 24, 2025 – On the evening of November 23, under cold rain and sleet in Amsterdam’s Dam Square, approximately ten activists held a solemn yet defiant vigil to commemorate the third anniversary of the 2022 Urumqi apartment fire and to call for the restoration of East Turkestan’s independence, the downfall of Xi Jinping, and the complete collapse of Communist Party rule.

  【本報阿姆斯特丹專訊】 2025 年 11 月 16 日 , 荷蘭首都阿姆斯特丹水壩廣場舉行了一場別開生面的跨國界人權集會。來自東突厥斯坦、西藏、南蒙古、廣東、廣西等地的獨立運動人士與中國民主活動家約三十人 , 共同紀念東突厥斯坦於 1933 年和 1944 年兩次建國的歷史。這場由支持維吾爾基金會 (Stichting Support Uyghurs) 主辦的活動 , 不僅是對歷史的追憶 , 更展現了不同民族在爭取自由道路上的團結。  

Historic flag-raising ceremony on Dam Square draws diverse coalition of independence movements and human rights advocates AMSTERDAM — On a crisp autumn afternoon of November 16, 2025, approximately thirty activists gathered at Dam Square in central Amsterdam to commemorate East Turkistan Republic Day, marking the historic declarations of independence made by Uyghur people on November 12, 1933 and 1944.
